Feeling Safe

The quiet experience
of beginning to relax.

Feeling safe often begins quietly.

In a little more space.
A little less bracing.
A little less filling.

And suddenly,
something in you
does not have to hold so tightly.

The breath comes easier.
The body softens.
There is a little more room
to simply be.

Sometimes this is one of the first truths
space reveals.

Not that everything is solved.
Not that life has become certain.

But that something in you
no longer has to brace
immediately.

Safety can begin there.

Not as control.
Not as guarantee.

But as the quiet experience
of beginning to relax.

The human often thinks safety
must come from the outside first.

And sometimes outer conditions matter deeply.

And there is also a softer safety
that begins within.

A little more space.
A little less pressure.
A little less need
to brace against life.

Then the body hears something new.

Not danger.
Not demand.

But gentleness.

And in that gentleness,
you may notice:
I am here.
I can breathe.
I do not have to hold so tightly.

Sometimes that is how safety begins.

Not loudly.
Not all at once.

But quietly,
as one of the first truths
revealed within space.
